Third-Party Data and Attribution

This document has been populated for Nutravae LLC and is part of the Nutravae Legal & Compliance Binder v1.0. It remains a draft for final review by legal counsel before public release.

Nutravae and its content are protected by intellectual-property law. Some recipe, food, and reference data come from third parties under their own licenses; their accuracy is not guaranteed, and Nutravae is educational only. This page acknowledges those sources.

Data sources

Nutravae’s food, nutrition, food-safety, recipe, restaurant, and supplement information draws on the following public and third-party sources:

• USDA FoodData Central — food and nutrient data (U.S. Department of Agriculture).
• USDA FNDDS (Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies).
• USDA FoodKeeper — food storage and freshness guidance.
• Open Food Facts — packaged-product data, under the Open Database License.
• MenuStat — restaurant menu nutrition data.
• OpenRecipes — recipe data, under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (CC BY 3.0).
• TheMealDB — recipe data.
• NIH DSLD (Dietary Supplement Label Database).
• EFSA — European Food Safety Authority references.

Intellectual property and accuracy

Some recipe, food, and reference data come from third parties (for example, open recipe and food databases and published references) under their own licenses; their accuracy is not guaranteed, and third-party trademarks and brand names (including restaurant and product names) belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify those items. Recipe, food, and reference content may be subject to third-party licenses and attribution.

AI processing

Optional AI features use Google’s Gemini API as a third-party processor for the specific content you choose to scan or ask about. See How Nutravae uses AI and the Privacy Policy for details on what is sent and retained.
