NutravaeNutravae (“Nutravae”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Nutravae is built to keep your health information private and on your device.
- Your health profile (conditions, allergies, medications, goals) and food logs are encrypted on your device.
- Your health profile is never sent to any AI.
- We collect very little — mainly your email if you join the waitlist or create an account.
- We never sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Email address — when you join the waitlist or create an account.
- Health profile — conditions, allergies, medications, and dietary goals, stored encrypted on your device (and, if you turn on account sync, as an encrypted copy we cannot read).
- Food and meal logs, fridge items, and saved meals — stored the same way.
- Contributions — if you submit a food or restaurant (and any photo) to improve our shared database, that submission is stored in our systems.
Information used by AI features
When you use AI-powered features — for example, describing or photographing a meal, or asking about an ingredient — the text or photo you submit is sent to our AI provider (Google, via the Gemini API) to generate the estimate. Your health profile is not included. Please don’t submit information you wouldn’t want processed this way.
Information collected automatically
We and our infrastructure providers process the basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service. We do not use advertising trackers.
2. How we use information
To provide and improve Nutravae; to email you at launch if you joined the waitlist; to generate the nutrition estimates you request; to maintain the shared food and restaurant library; and to keep the service secure and working.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with service providers who help us run Nutravae — including Supabase (encrypted database, authentication, and the waitlist), Google (the Gemini AI that powers the food analyses you request), and our website host. Each processes data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information if required by law.
4. Data storage & security
Your health data is encrypted on your device, and account sync stores only an encrypted copy that cannot be read without your password. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
5. Your choices & rights
You can view, edit, and delete your profile and logs in the app, and unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to opt out of the “sale” of personal information (we do not sell it). 6. Children
Nutravae is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
7. International users
Nutravae is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed there.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.
